Hi, I’m Susan and I want to thank you so much for checking out my blog! I hope to share with you my learning about how eating more healthy, whole foods and fewer processed foods has a huge impact on our short and long term health.
Soon after my oldest son was born I started reading a lot about eating more healthfully - less meat, dairy, and processed foods; more local, organic, and whole foods including pasture-raised and grass-fed meats, whole grains, plant-based protein, and of course lots and lots of fresh fruits and vegetables. It was overwhelming at first, because there is so much information out there and I wanted to change a lot at one time. Over time I have made small changes and I’ve realized that it’s absolutely doable to overhaul your diet.
I definitely slip at times and don’t feed myself and my family my ideal food plan 100% of the time, but I hope that by blogging about these topics that I can keep myself in check, investigate more ways to increase healthy lifestyles, and most importantly help you learn ways to live more fully through healthy diet changes.
I am married and have 3 wonderful children, ages 7, 5 and 2 who keep me busy and on my toes. Occasionally they will make an appearance here on the blog. But healthy nutrition is a huge part of my life as well and it is my intention to share with you everything I know on the topic.

Other topics I may explore include fitness and healthy home products. I enjoy staying in shape and believe in the importance of exercising. I’ve also learned a lot about how using natural cleaning and home products is better for our health and I may post about that from time to time.
I would love to hear from you, so if you have any questions, please comment or send an e-mail!
